The Qos based routing can be applied both from the signaling and the media perspective. The focus is to provide a mechanism to calculate the various KPI used to measure signaling Qos related routing parameters and use them to take intelligent decisions to route a call. There are mechanisms to improve these KPIs or route the call alternately also. Some of the QoS-related parameters (ASR and R-Factor) are already supported by SBC.
The Signaling Qos KPI Profile is associated with a IP Signaling Profile which in turn can be associated to an IP Peer or IP signaling peer group or trunk group as a part of IP Signaling Profile. The following signaling Qos KPI parameters can be modified:
On SBC main screen, go to Configuration > Profile Management > Category: Signaling Profiles > Signaling Qos Kpi Profile.
The Signaling Qos Kpi Profile window is displayed.
To edit any of the Signaling Qos Kpi Profile in the list, click the radio button next to the specific Signaling Qos Kpi Profile name.
The Edit Selected Signaling Qos Kpi Profile window is displayed below.
Make the required changes and click Save at the right hand bottom of the panel to save the changes made.
To create a new Signaling Qos Kpi Profile, click New Signaling Qos Kpi Profile tab on the Signaling Qos Kpi Profile List panel.
The Create New Signaling Qos Kpi Profile window is displayed.
The following fields are displayed:
To copy any of the created Signaling Qos Kpi Profile and to make any minor changes, click the radio button next to the specific Signaling Qos Kpi Profile to highlight the row.
Click Copy Signaling Qos Kpi Profile tab on the Signaling Qos Kpi Profile List panel.
The Copy Selected Signaling Qos Kpi Profile window is displayed along with the field details which can be edited.
Make the required changes to the required fields and click Save to save the changes. The copied Signaling Qos Kpi Profile is displayed at the bottom of the original Signaling Qos Kpi Profile in the Signaling Qos Kpi Profile List panel.
To delete any of the created Signaling Qos Kpi Profile, click the radio button next to the specific Signaling Qos Kpi Profile which you want to delete.
Click Delete at the end of the highlighted row. A delete confirmation message appears seeking your decision.
Click OK to remove the specific Signaling Qos Kpi Profile from the list.
