In this section:

Use this object to configure H323 Signaling Port for this zone.

Each signaling port within an Address Context must use a unique IP address.

Note

Each signaling port within an Address Context must use a unique IP address and port number combination.

Note

The SBC 5210 and SBC 7000 systems support creating IP Interface Groups containing sets of IP interfaces that are not "processor friendly" (i.e. carried on physical Ethernet ports served by separate processors). However, restrictions exist regarding the usage of such Interface Groups.

(This ability does not apply to the SBC 5110 and 5400 systems which have only two physical media ports. IP interfaces from the two physical ports may be configured within the same IP Interface Groups without restrictions.)

For complete details, refer to Configuring IP Interface Groups and Interfaces.

To View H323Sig Port

On SBC main screen, go to Configuration > System Provisioning > Category: Base Provisioning > Signaling Ports > H323Sig Port. The H323Sig Port window is displayed.

Signaling Ports - H323Sig Port

The H323Sig Port can be checked for each Address Context or for each Zone or for all the Address Contexts and Zones created. Use the drop-down box to select the desired Address Context and Zone.

The following fields are displayed:

H 323 Sig Port

Parameter

Description

Index

Specify the index value.

IP Interface Group Name

The name of the IP interface group used by this Signaling Port.

H225Ip Address

The 32-bit IP address used for H225 signaling. Specified in dotted decimal form (for example 128.127.50.224). Default is 0.0.0.0.

Port Number

The logical port number of the UDP port to use for this connection. This defines the H.225 well known port. Must be 1-5000, default is 1720.

H245Ip Address

The 32-bit IP address used for H245 signaling. Specified in dotted decimal form (for example 128.127.50.224). Default is 0.0.0.0. This must equal ipaddress1 in the current implementation.

Mode

The operational state of the H323 signaling service:

  • inService—the signaling port listens for incoming H323 signal link connection requests.
  • outOfService—the signaling port is not available for incoming H323 signal link connection requests and thus cannot be used to create a new gateway signal links to other H323 gateways.

State

The administrative state of this H323 signaling port:

  • disabled—Not active.
  • enabled—Active

Action

The method by which active calls using this H323 signaling service are processed when MODE goes to out of service:

  • dryup—all calls are allowed to complete until TIMEOUT expires.
  • force—all calls are dropped immediately.

Dry Up Timeout

The time (in minutes) to wait for active calls to finish in order to place the H323 signaling service in out of service MODE. Must be 0-1440, default is 0.

DSCP Value

Differentiated Services Code Point value (0-63).
