The SBC 51xx and SBC 52xx platforms are not supported from release 11.0.0 onwards. This release supports the SBC 5400, SBC 7000 and SBC SWe platforms.
This section provides the safety and regulatory information for SBC 5000 series platforms.
For the purpose of regulatory compliance certifications and identification, the SBC 5000 series are assigned the following model numbers:
The compliance model number is available on the product label along with the required approval markings and information. Refer to the model number while requesting for certification information for the product.
Read and observe all Notes, Cautions, and Warnings before beginning the SBC 5000 Series system hardware installation.
1) Connect the chassis to protective earth ground before connecting the power to the unit.
2) Disconnect all the input power sources to disconnect power from the unit.
The following Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) symbols are used throughout the documentation. ESD Protective symbol identifies ESD protection devices, such as wrist straps, anti-static bags, etc. ESD Susceptibility symbol warns of the presence of Ribbon devices susceptible to electrostatic discharge. Do not handle equipment without wearing a properly grounded ESD wrist strap.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference, in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.

The SBC 5000 systems comply with Telcordia NEBS Level 3 requirements per SR-3580, including the appropriate sections of GR-63-CORE (Network Equipment-Building System Requirements: Physical Protection) and GR-1089- CORE (Electromagnetic Compatibility and Electrical Safety - Generic Criteria for Network Telecommunications Equipment).
