The re-installation of SBC SWe can be carried out when you want to upgrade from an existing SBC SWe version to the latest version by retaining the same configurations like NIC, CPU configurations and so on, from existing KVM instance.

To re-install ISO on KVM:

  1. Right-click the Instance and select Shut Down > Shut Down to shut off the SBC SWe VM instance before re-installing the ISO.
    Or
    Select the instance to shut down and click Shutdown button.

  2. Select the VM instance and click Open.
    The VM window displays.

  3. Click Details.
  4. From the left pane select IDE CDROM 1.
    The CD ROM related details is displayed in the right pane.
  5. Click Connect.
    The Choose Media window displays.

  6. Select ISO image location option.
  7. Click Browse.
    A window displays to browse the file system and select the ISO image.
  8. Select the ISO image and click Open.
    The selected ISO image appears in the text field.
  9. Click OK.
  10. From the left pane select Boot Options.
    The boot related details is displayed in the right pane.

  11. In the Boot device order section, select CD ROM and click up arrow to move it on top of the list.
  12. Click Apply.
  13. Click Run from the menu to start the instance.
    The VM installation screen displays.

After installing SBC SWe change the boot device order as show below.
