The SBC Core supports P-Orig-CA (Originating Charge Area) headers as part of P-CSCF functionality. Creating charge area groups enables carriers to provision fewer standard routes by associating routing labels with originating charge area groups rather than individual charge areas.

The two parameters to configure for P-Orig-CA are:

  • addEgressOrigCa—enable to allow P-Orig-CA header to be sent on egress.
  • useIngress—enable to honor P-Orig-CA header received on ingress.

The CLI syntax to provision ingress and egress options is shown below:

% set addressContext default zone <ZONE_NAME> sipTrunkGroup <TG_NAME> signaling P-HeaderExtensions addEgressOrigCa <disable|enable> useIngressOrigCa <disable|enable>

Refer to SIP Trunk Group - Signaling - CLI for details.
