Use the Local Record - Data window to create and work with the data associated with a local DNS record. Local DNS resource records are associated with a particular address context and DNS group and are used to locally resolve an FQDN rather than querying an external server. Configure the basic parameters of a local record on the Local Record window. Then use the Local Record - Data window to configure one or more data entries for the local DNS resource record. Each data entry must contain a unique index. When using the dnsGroup LOCAL resolution, you cannot configure more than four active T-SBCs/M-SBCs since the DNS Group LOCAL entries are limited to a maximum of four entries. If you need to enable more than four active T-SBCs/M-SBCs, use an external DNS for resolution.
On the SBC main screen, go to Configuration → System Provisioning → Category: Base Provisioning → DNS → Servers → DNS → DNS Group → Local Record → Data or
All → Address Context → DNS Group → Local Record → Data
The Data window is displayed. Use the Address Context, DNS Group, and Local Record drop-down lists to filter the list.
