To View and Edit Packet Outage

On SBC main screen, go to Configuration > System Provisioning > Category: Trunk Provisioning > Trunk Group > H323Trunk Group > H323 Trunk Advanced > Packet Outage. The Packet Outage window is displayed.

The Packet Outage can be checked for each Address Context, for each Zone, for each H323Trunk Group created or for all the Address Contexts, Zones and H323Trunk Groups created. Use the drop-down box to select the desired Address Context, Zone and H323Trunk Group.

The Edit Packet Outage window is displayed.

H323 Trunk Advanced - Packet Outage Parameters

Parameter

Description

Minimum DurationSpecifies the period of outage for a call, in milliseconds, for that call to be counted as part of the packet outage detection algorithm. Must be 0-65535, default is 6000 (milliseconds).
Minimum CallsSpecifies, for the current interval, the number of calls with outages that are required to declare a packet outage event. Must be 0-65535, default is 1000 (calls).
Bandwidth Limit ReductionSpecifies the amount to reduce the bandwidth limit (as a percentage of the configured limit) when a packet outage is detected. Must be 0-100, default is 50 (percent).

Detection State

Specifies the administrative state of packet outage detection:

  • Enabled—automatic bandwidth reduction will occur when a packet outage is detected.
  • Disabled (default)—packet outages are not detected and the maximum bandwidth limit is restored.

Detection Interval

Specifies the time interval, in minutes, for detecting packet outages via the packet outage detection algorithm. Must be 5- 1440, default is 15 (minutes).
