You can use this object to export the configuration as a compressed tar.gz file. The tar file stores the SBC configuration, software and hardware information. You can download the configuration to your PC and upload it to another SBC using the existing File Upload object. You can also un-tar the file and modify the configuration, maintaining the directory structure and file naming conventions.

Existing configuration dumps are displayed along with uploaded files. The uploaded files are stored in a separate directory, and displayed as uploaded. This avoids any name conflicts between uploaded and existing configuration.

You can import the configuration using the Configuration and Profile Import/Export (PM) object in EMA.

On the SBC main screen, go to Administration > System Administration > Configuration and Profile Import/Export (PM). The Configuration and Profile Import/Export (PM) window is displayed.
