In this section:
Use the Nameserver window to add up to eight name servers within the configuration of the DNS Service Registry. The Service Registry is part of a Service Discovery framework the SBC uses to determine the address for certain services. Refer to Service Discovery for Trap Target Destinations and EMS Registration for more information.
To View Nameserver Entries
On the SBC main screen, go to All > System> Service Discovery > Service Registry > Nameserver
The Nameserver window opens. If it is not already selected, select dns from the Service Registry list to show a list of existing name server entries.
To Create a Name Server Entry
To create a name server entry:
Click New Nameserver. The Create New Nameserver window opens.
- Use the following table to configure the options and then click Save.
To Edit a Name Server Entry
Select the name server by clicking the radio button adjacent to its entry. The Edit Selected Nameserver window opens.
- Make the required changes and click Save.
To Copy a Name Server Entry
Select the name server by clicking the radio button adjacent to its entry.
Click Copy Nameserver. The Copy Selected Nameserver window opens.
- Make changes and click Save.
To Delete a Name Server Entry
Select the name server by clicking the radio button adjacent to its entry.
- Click the Delete icon (X) at the end of the row.
Confirm the deletion when prompted.
