Use this window to work with SIP-to-CPC cause mapping profiles on the node. These profiles can be assigned to SIP trunk groups and map SIP status codes to internal CPC (Call Processing Component) cause codes.The SBC provides four mapping profiles by default that you can assign to trunk groups. The default profiles cannot be modified or deleted. However, you can create custom mapping profiles which you can assign to trunk groups.

SBC Core supports up to 64 SIP-to-CPC and 64 CPC-to-SIP cause code mapping profiles.

To View SIP To CPC Cause Map Profiles

On the SBC main screen, go to Configuration > Profile Management > Category: Signaling Profiles > SIP Cause Code Mapping > SIP To CPC Cause Map Profile. Alternatively, use the path

To Create a SIP To CPC Cause Map Profile

To create a new SIP To CPC cause map profile:

  1. Click New SIP To CPC Cause Map Profile. The Create New SIP To CPC Cause Map Profile window opens.

  2. Use the following table to enter general parameters for the profile and click Save.

Parameter

Description

Name

The name of the new SIP to CPC cause map profile.

Base Profile

The name of one of the four default cause map profiles to base the new profile on. These SIP-to-CPC base profiles are:

  • Default SIP CPC – current default mappings
  • Default Q1912 SIP CPC – based on Q1912.5
  • Default RFC3398 SIP CPC – based on RFC 3398
  • Default TS29163 SIP CPC – based on 3GPP TS 29.163
  • Default TSGSPEC17 SIP CPC – based on TSG/SPEC/17. For default SIP-CPC Mapping for TSG/SPEC/017, refer to SIP Cause Code Mapping - SIP To CPC Cause Map Profile. For versions prior to SBC 8.2, if you want to create the mapping manually, refer to Manual SIP-CPC Mapping for TSG/SPEC/017.

The cause maps from the base profile that you select are applied to the profile that you create. You can then create additional cause maps for the custom profile that override what is specified in the base profile. Specifying a base profile is optional.

Cancel Cause

The Q850 cause value that the SIP CANCEL message should generate. The default value is 16. The range allowed is 1-127.

Loc Bye

Specifies the location value to use for the SIP REL message when a SIP BYE  message is received:

  • User
  • Local Private Network
  • Local Local Network
  • Transit Network
  • Remote Local Network
  • Remote Private Network
  • Local Interface Controlled By This Sig Link
  • International Network
  • Network Beyond Point (default)
  • Private Branch Exchange

Loc Cancel

Specifies the location value to use for the SIP REL message when a SIP CANCEL message is received:

Note:

The specific CPC to SIP code mappings within the profile are created on the Cause Map window. Refer to SIP To CPC Cause Map Profile - Cause Map.

To Edit a SIP To CPC Cause Map Profile

The default profiles cannot be edited. To edit a SIP To CPC cause map profile you added:

  1. Click the radio button next to the name of the profile you want to edit. The Edit Selected SIP To CPC Cause Map Profile window opens.
  2. Make the required changes and click Save.

To Delete a SIP To CPC Cause Map Profile

The default profiles cannot be deleted. To delete any of the SIP To CPC cause map profiles you added:

  1. Click the radio button next to the specific SIP To CPC cause map profile you want to delete.
  2. Click the X at the end of the row to delete.
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
