Log into EMA using a Web Browser

To access the SBC EMA GUI:

  1. Open a supported browser and type in the address bar the management IP address of the SBC that you would like to access prefixed with "https//" for secured login. The login screen appears.

  2. Enter your login credentials and click Sign In. By default, the EMA GUI opens to the Dashboard window. The Last Login Information window also appears informing you about any previous successful and unsuccessful login attempts.

Initial Login 

  1. If you are logging in for the first time to the default administrator account on a hardware-based or SWe system, you are prompted to change your password immediately. The default administrator account the credentials are:

    Username:admin Password: admin

  2. Enter your credentials and click Sign In. You are prompted to change passwords immediately.  For more information on Password Rules, refer to Users and Application Management - Application Management.

  3. Enter the new password information to continue logging in.

Note

If you are logging into an SBC SWe system deployed on OpenStack, the initial admin account credentials are determined by the contents of the Heat template or VNFD file used to orchestrate the deployment. Check with the installer to determine what login credentials to use.

Changing Passwords

 

Note

You cannot change a password for a user more than once on the same calendar day.

Only the password for an admin user can be changed more than once on the same calendar day.


To change your user password:

  1. At the top-right of any EMA window, click the down arrow adjacent to your user name to show a drop-down menu of options.

  2. Click Change Password. The Change Password window opens. For a summary of valid password rules, click Show Password Rules.

  3. Enter your Current Password.

  4. Enter your New Password.

  5. Enter the new password a second time in Confirm New Password.

  6. Click Change Password
