In this section:

This section describes all the fields required to set a DBL rule.

To View Rule

On SBC main screen, go to Configuration > System Provisioning > Security Configuration > Dbl Profile > Rule.

Choose the required Dbl Profile name from the Dbl Profile drop-down list for which you would like to view or create the Rule.

The Rule window is displayed.

To Edit Rule

To edit any of the Rule in the list, click the radio button next to the specific Rule name.

The Edit Selected Rule window is displayed below.

Make the required changes and click Save at the right hand bottom of the panel to save the changes made.

To Create Rule

To create a new Rule, click New Rule tab on the Rule List panel.

The Create New Rule window is displayed.

The following fields are displayed:

Parameter

Description

Rule Name

Specifies the name of the Dynamic Black List (Dbl) profile.

State

Specifies the administrative state of this rule.

The options are:

  • enabled
  • disabled
Event

Specifies the type of event for this DBL rule. The options are:

  • sipRegistrationFailure
  • badSipMessage
  • epCacApprReject

Dynamic Blacklist for event epCacAggrReject is supported for callRate only.


Action

Specifies the action to be taken when a specified event meets the criteria for this rule. The DBL agent takes action immediately if an event occurs. The options are:

  • watch
  • blacklist
Event Per Day ThresholdSpecifies the number of events per day used as a fill rate for a token bucket policer. The value ranges from 0 to 86400. The default value is 0 which means zero tolerance.

 

Action Effective PeriodSpecifies the DBL action enforcement period (in seconds) during which the DBL policer entry remains effective. The value ranges from 60 to 86400 seconds and the default is 60 seconds.

To Copy Rule

To copy any of the created Rule and to make any minor changes, click the radio button next to the specific Rule to highlight the row.

Click Copy Rule tab on the Rule List panel.

The Copy Selected Rule window is displayed along with the field details which can be edited.

Make the required changes to the required fields and click Save to save the changes. The copied Rule is displayed at the bottom of the original Rule in the Rule List panel.

To Delete Rule

To delete any of the created Rule, click the radio button next to the specific Rule which you want to delete.

Click Delete at the end of the highlighted row. A delete confirmation message appears seeking your decision.

Click Yes to remove the specific Rule from the list.
