SBC 5000 series systems configured for DC power are equipped with dual redundant DC power supplies (shown in the figure DC Power Supply below).
The DC power supply is a Customer Replaceable Unit (CRU). The product codes are:
In a dual redundant Power Supply configuration, the Power Supplies are hot-swappable meaning that a Power Supply may be replaced without powering down the SBC 5000 series platform (provided that the redundant Power Supply is operational).
Perform the following procedure to replace a Power Supply:
Remove clear plastic protective cover on terminal strip.
Disconnect RTN and -48V connections by loosening two terminal strip screws using the #2 Philips screwdriver.
All SBC 5000 series CRUs are shipped in electrostatic discharge bags and should be handled using appropriate ESD precautions.

The ESD Susceptibility symbol warns of the presence of Ribbon devices susceptible to electrostatic discharge. Do not handle equipment without wearing a properly grounded ESD wrist strap.
