This section provides instructions for logging in to the EdgeView and also includes a quick tour of the EdgeView user interface.

Log In to EdgeView

To log in to the EdgeView, follow the given steps below:

  1. Open a browser window and enter the IP address or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the EdgeView in the address bar. The EdgeView Login page appears.

  2. Log in to the EdgeView as EV Admin or Tenant Admin user:

    Tip

    For more details on how to configure the EV Admin or Tenant Admin users, refer to Install and Configure EdgeView.

  3. Click SIGN IN. ThEdgeView Dashboard window displays.

EdgeView Dashboard

The Dashboard allows you to monitor the most relevant activities in your system.

The following figure depicts the EdgeView Dashboard layout:

  • Average MOS collection graph - Provides the average MOS by Collection over the Past 24 Hours.
  • Devices Down - Displays the list of connected EdgeMarc devices that are currently down.
  • Devices with errors - Displays the list of connected EdgeMarc devices that are currently down. 

EdgeView Menu Bars

The figures in this section show the layout of the EdgeView menu bars:

EdgeView Top Menu Bar

  • Search - Search for devices, collections, jobs, rules and users using search keywords.
  • Notifications - View notifications regarding your devices and the EdgeView system.
  • Menu Drop-Down - Access and manage options like current EdgeView user profile, EdgeView APIs, and Licenses.

EdgeView Side Menu Bar

  • Search - Search for devices, collections, jobs, rules and users using search keywords.
  • Home - Access the EdgeView Dashboard.
  • Devices - Manage and view details of youEdgeMarc devices.
  • Provisioning - Manage and view the provisioning policies and status of your  EdgeMarc devices.
  • Troubleshooting - Manage troubleshooting rules in the EdgeView.
  • Jobs - Schedule and manage jobs in the EdgeView.
  • Users - Manage the EdgeView users.
  • System - Manage the EdgeView system.
