This section explains the Password Detection feature.

Overview

The Password Detection feature allows you to protect your application and avoids unauthorized access. 

Password Detection

To configure the Password Detection:

  1. Log in to the EdgeView as evadmin.

  2. In the General Settings tab, scroll down to Password Detection.

  3. In the Password Detection panel, click the Edit icon to change the Passwords manually.

  4. Enter the Password in the Password field and click ADD.

    It is recommended to add the user defined EdgeMarc root passwords to detect and change it to randomized one for protection against intrusion. The default factory EdgeMarc passwords are already detected by default.  Only add those that are set by the user which are known as commonly used passwords.
