EdgeView allows you to view details about the EdgeView application, third-party licenses, firmware updates and system reports.

Collecting System Report

View System Reports by choosing System > Collect System Report. The following message appears:

Click OK. The report is downloaded in .tar.gz format. You can view the scc and em logs.

Adding Firmware Repository

The firmware repository points to images required for upgrading the EdgeMarc devices. To manage the firmware repository follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Go to System > Firmware Repositories. The System Firmware Repositories page appears.

  2. Select ADD REPOSITORY. The Add Repository window appears.

  3. Complete the following fields:

    • Repository Name: Enter the name of the firmware repository. 

    • Type: Choose a file transfer method from the drop-down list. The available options are ftp or scp. 

    • IP/FQDN: Enter the IP address or FQDN of the server.

    • Base Path: Enter the filename of the firmware to upgrade to.

    • Username: Enter a valid user-name to log in on the server for the selected upgrade method.

    • Password: Enter a valid password for the entered username. It should not contain the following special characters: %, <, >

  4. Once all required fields are filled, select ADD REPOSITORY. The repository is successfully added and the repository details appear. You can view the details of this firmware repository later, by going to System > Firmware Repositories and selecting the required repository from the list.


    Tip

    You can delete the repository created by selecting DELETE REPOSITORY. 

  5. Once you create the firmware repository, you can perform the following actions:

    • Retrieve the available firmware list from the Ribbon Communications by navigating to Actions > Get Latest Versions.

    • Map what versions you require to be made available by navigating to Actions > Map Versions.

      Caution

      Ensure that the created repository is mapped to the required collection.

    • Upload the required firmware versions by navigating to Actions > Upload Firmware Versions.

To view the EdgeView version details, click the Menu icon on the top-right corner and select About to see the current build information.

View Third Party Licenses

The EdgeView Service Control Center incorporates third party components. View license details of these components by clicking the Menu icon on the top-right corner and selecting Third Party License > Licenses.
