Use the following procedures to configure SD-WAN on EdgeMarc.
To configure EdgeMarc to support SD-WAN, perform the following steps:
Choose Devices > List.
The EdgeMarc devices list appears.
Select the required device to configure (see EdgeView Devices list image). The EdgeMarc device details page appears.
The EdgeMarc Device page contains WAN Health details in the form of Link Quality graphs, WAN Traffic graphs, and Total Peak Calls graph, in addition to basic details about the EdgeMarc device.
The SD-WAN Link Quality graphs will not be displayed if SD-WAN is not licensed on your device.
To configure SD-WAN, select CONFIGURE SD-WAN from the EdgeMarc devices page (see EdgeMarc Device details image).
The SD-WAN Business policy page appears.
You can now configure SD-WAN by adding a Business Policy Rule.
Business policy rules allow the system to classify traffic flow into classes of service based on their URL, IP Address, or destination port. When a rule is configured and saved, the system will modify each packet in the flow with the configured data priority. The packet then enters the traffic shaper and based on data priority, the shaper applies the prioritization and bandwidth guarantees for the class-of-service the packet belongs to.
To add a business policy rule, perform the following steps from the Business Policy page:
Select the traffic method of the policy.
Select the Link Steering of the policy (see Link Steering image)
Link Steering displays the interface preference for the configured rule. When the rules’ Link Steering is configured to Auto, the system will analyze traffic and apply the Routing Decision Preference and settings on the Advanced page. This will determine which WAN the rules traffic should be routed through.
Select the Priority and then click ADD.
The business policy is added successfully.
