To edit an already created collection from EdgeView, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Collections page (refer to Create Collections in EdgeView).
  2. Select the collection to edit.

  3. Scroll down to BASIC INFO and select the Edit icon (see Collection Overview Page image).  Make the necessary changes and click SAVE.

  4. You can also define a policy for the collection by selecting the Edit icon next to POLICY (see Collection Overview Page image).

  5. Make the necessary changes and then select SAVE to save the changes (see Save Changes image). If you have added a policy for the collection, select ADD after you have made the necessary changes (see Add Policy image).

    If there are unique parameters specific to any device in the collection, you can specify that under Device Specific Settings. This will allow device replacements for legacy devices to have unique parameters.

    Note

    Legacy platforms like the EdgeMarc 4550, are being replaced with newer EdgeMarc devices. For more details on how to replace your legacy device, refer to Replace EdgeMarc Legacy Devices.

    1. Select the Collection of legacy devices to edit.

    2. Scroll down to Policy and click the policy name to go to that policy's overview page. If you have not defined a policy already, refer step 4 to define a collection policy.

    3. On the policy overview page, go to the Device Specific Settings tab and select EDIT TEMPLATE.

      The Edit Template dialog box appears.

    4. In the Edit Template dialog box, select all the files that you want to transfer from the legacy device and click SAVE. By default, all files are selected.

      Success dialog box displays, confirming that the template is saved successfully.
