SDA upgrade files containing the installer and application software are required to upgrade SDA. The upgrade process begins after the required upgrade files are installed on the DSC 8000.

TMA CONFIRM: Upgrading the SDA software from release 16.1.0 to 17.0.0 requires an update to the Java browser plug-in for Internet Explorer. The SDA System Manager GUI applet provided with 17.0.0 SDA software only supports IE browsers configured with Java 8.
