In this section:


If the Web UI or SSH can be accessed through either Management VM's or CPU's IP address, but not the shared IP address, the Shared IP address may not be up. In this case, perform the procedure appropriate for your platform.

To gain access using a DSC

  1. Log in to the Web UI as root.
  2. From the Main Menu, click IP Networking.
  3. Click Network Interfaces.
  4. Select the Routing and Management VM1 from the Network Interfaces drop-down list.
  5. Click Update.
  6. Make sure that the information includes mgt0 for the Routing and Management VM1.
  7. If mgt0 is not present, select the Routing and Management VM2 from the Network Interfaces drop-down list.
  8. Click Update.
  9. Make sure that the information includes mgt1 for the Routing and Management VM2.
  10. If the information is not present for Management VM1 or VM2, check the Management Network Configuration.
    1. From the Main Menu, click Management Network.
    2. Make sure that the IP information is configured properly.
    3. Click Save and Restart Networking.
  11. Repeat step 3 to 6 to verify that required information is now listed under one of the VMs.
  12. If the issue is not resolved, contact Customer Support.


To gain access using an SP2000

  1. Log in to the Web UI as root.
  2. From the System Main Menu, click IP Networking.
  3. Click Network Interfaces.
  4. Select the first Management CPU from the Network Interfaces drop-down list.
  5. Click Update.
  6. Make sure that the information includes bond0:0.
  7. If bond0:0 is not present, select the second Management CPU from the Network Interfaces drop-down list.
  8. Click Update.
  9. Make sure that the information for this Management CPU includes bond0:0.
  10. If the information is not present for either CPU, check the Management Configuration.
    1. Click Management Network.
    2. Make sure that the IP information is configured properly.
    3. Click Save and Restart Networking.     
  11. Repeat step 3 to 6 to verify that required information is now listed under one of the CPUs.
  12. If the issue is not resolved, contact Customer Support.
