For multihomed configurations, you must configure IP routes for the DSC Platforms.

The following figure provides you with an example of a DSC Platform connected to a remote node. This node is another Diameter signaling IP device that supports SCTP/IP. You can substitute any IP network for the Internet. Each Ethernet interface on the Routing VMs or Routing CPUs and the remote node is configured on separate subnets and pass through different gateways to access the Internet.

Multihomed DSC SWe Connected to a Remote Node (Example)

The following table provides the IP Routes on the local DSC Platform shown in the preceding figure.

Note

It is assumed that the Routing and Management VM1 (virtual slot 1) is connecting to Remote Node 192.70.1.1 and 192.70.2.1; the Routing and Management VM2 (virtual slot 2) is connecting to Remote Node 192.70.1.2 and 192.70.2.2; the Routing VM (virtual slot 3) is connecting to Remote Node 192.70.2.3 and 192.70.3.1.
