Use the following procedure to configure the SS7/IP network interfaces on the DSC 8000.

Start

  1. From the startmenu application, select 2 to enter Configure Network Interfaces menu.
  2. Select 2 to configure routing interfaces.
  3. Select the routing slot to configure.
  4. Select interface to configure.
  5. Select 2 to add a new routing interface.
  6. Type y if the system has IPv6 configured. Type n if the system has IPv4 only.
  7. Enter the network alias (optional), IP, and net mask, then type y to apply.
  8. Press enter to complete configuring this interface.
  9. Type y to add another IP to this interface or n to return.
