The SDA Upgrade Guide contains background information and procedures for downloading and upgrading SDA application software running on a DSC 8000 system.
The procedures provided in section SDA Software Upgrade outline how to perform an SDA software upgrade and contain examples for upgrading SDA from software release 16.1.0 to 17.0.0.
SDA upgrade procedures provide examples with the following DSC 8000 system configuration:
- Slots 5 and 6 are equipped with SDA SysMgr CPUs.
- Slots 9 and 10 are equipped with Distributed SS7 Services (DSS) CPUs.
Downgrading SDA software is not supported. If you want to restore an older version of SDA, please contact Ribbon support to determine the impact to your system.
Upgrade Requirements
You need the following files to upgrade the SDA software:
- INSTALL_flex.sh
- SDA_18_1_0_nbxxxxxxxx.tgz
The files are retrieved from the Ribbon Support Portal, see the following section Downloading Software.
