After modifying any of the attributes in the snmpd.conf configuration file, SNMP daemon (snmpd) must be restarted for the changes to take effect.
The snmpd should always be in the Active state unless this daemon is deactivated on purpose.
Note
Modifying SNMP attributes using the Web UI restarts the snmpd.
Start
- Log onto one of the Management CPUs or Management and Routing VM1 or VM2 using the Web UI.
- Click IP Networking.
- Click SNMP.
- Click Restart (SNMPD Daemon).
