If the system cannot be accessed from any IP address through SSH or Web UI, perform the following steps:

  1. Log onto the DSC Platform
  2. Ping each VM's using the respective VMs IP address.
  3. Connect the console to each Routing and Management VM.
  4. Log in as root.
  5. At the Linux prompt, enter ifconfig 
    The Routing and Management VM's IP should be on mgt0 for the Routing and Management VM1 and mgt1 for the Routing and Management VM2.
  6. If the output is as expected, continue to step 6. If the output is not as expected, configure the Management IP address.
    1. At the Linux prompt, enter startmenu
    2. Select System, and press ENTER.
    3. Select IP Networking, and press ENTER.
    4. Select Configure Network Interfaces, and press ENTER.
    5. Select Management Network, and press ENTER.
    6. Enter the information as required.
  7. At the Linux prompt, enter route
    If the default gateway route is in the command output, continue to step 7. If default gateway route is not in the command output, reconfigure the Routing and Management  VM's IP address as described in step 5.
  8. At the Linux prompt, enter ping<IP of default gateway>
    If there is no response to the ping, there may be a networking or configuration issue. In this case, contact Customer Support.
