The CIC UA usage alarms are intended to provide a warning if the CIC UA TCP connection usage reaches a previously determined capacity. This alarm is intended as a mechanism for providing equivalent measurements in the IP network to that of the Erlang measurements in the SS7 network. All thresholds are applied separately to both the receive (Rx) and the transmit (Tx) side of the connection (see To configure the CIC UA usage).
