AVPs are part of a Diameter message that carries the data (refer to Message Format). The Vendor ID and AVP Code attributes uniquely identify the AVP.
Attribute-Value Pairs (AVPs) is a Diameter concept, defined in RFC6733, Diameter Base Protocol (refer to http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc6733.txt) and managed by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA). For details about specific AVP assignments, refer to http://www.iana.org/assignments/aaa-parameters/aaa-parameters.txt
To create an AVP Definition
- From the Main Menu, click DSC.
- Click the required DSC Instance (if more than one DSC Instance is defined).
- Click DSC Definitions.
- Click AVP Definitions.
- In the AVP Definitions Selection row, click Create.
- Configure the required attributes.
- Click Create.
Tip
To delete an AVP Definition, click X in the same line that this AVP Definition appears on the AVP Definition Selection screen.
- From the Main Menu, click DSC.
- Click the required DSC Instance (if more than one DSC Instance is defined).
- Click DSC Definitions.
- Click AVP Definitions.
- Click the required AVP Definition.
- Configure the required attributes.
- Click Continue.
