Recommended Action
Identify the slot on which the server is configured:
- From the alarm, use the Event Context to navigate to the affected UI object.
- From the Process Instance field, identify the affected slot.
Check for the most common errors:
- the Process Instance refers to a process that is unavailable or not configured. Check that status of the Process Instance under DSC->Process Events.
- the hostname provided to the server does not resolve, or resolves to an IP address that is not configured on the card. Use IP Networking->IP Utilities->Ping to check hostname resolution, IP Networking->Network Interfaces to check the IP Network configuration on the card.
- the address/port combination is in use on that card Use IP Networking->IP Utilities->Open Sockets and check for a conflict.
When the cause of the unavailable server has been discovered, correct it.
If alarm persists, contact Customer Support.
