GTT Connections

The GTT connections object displays the SCCP GTT connections on all the SCCP Processes. An SCCP Process supports multiple GTT connections. Each GTT connection manages its associate Registered PC and Registered GTT AppID objects for traffic interception. Duplicate PCs and AppIDs cannot be registered on the same SCCP Process.

Note

The SCCP application has reserved Application IDs. For more information, refer to Reserved Application IDs for SS7 Applications.

Most configuration tasks and management of the GTT connections are performed using the GTT UI. The GTT Connection object in the SCCP UI is only used for informational and troubleshooting purposes.

You can terminate SCCP traffic between a GTT application and SCCP by using the Terminate action if required. Using this action forces the closure of IP connection. Because GTT and other Ribbon applications always attempt to re-register, automatic re-establishment of this connection is the default setting.

Note

If the GTT application is the local GTT process and PCE is not licensed, the GTT is a library linked with SCCP. The Terminate action is unavailable in that deployment, because no IP connection is involved.

Viewing Registered PCs

The Registered PC objects are used to view what PCs are registered by the GTT-based applications. These PCs must be provisioned as VNodes at MTP3, unless the PC is the LPC of that NA (refer to the appropriate section in the SS7 Application Guide 1).

Similar to the GTT connections, the Registered PC objects are only used for informational and troubleshooting purposes.

Note

If an SS7 Subsystem Status Test (SST) message is received concerning a Registered PC and the MTP3 Incoming Routing Override is set to “Force to GTT”, a Subsystem Available (SSA) message is returned for any SSN.

An SS7 Transfer Allowed (TFA) message is sent on the network regarding this Registered PC when the PC is successfully registered with SCCP.

  2. Click the required NA.
