In the Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM), a number of elements are routed using the global title (GT) function and not a subsystem number as with SCCP User Interface (PC/SSN). The GT interface allows IP GT applications to dynamically register with the DSC Platform SCCP as a GT point code (PC). The PC registration resolves GT-routed traffic for a given destination point code (DPC) to the corresponding global title translation (GTT) application.
