The user interface utilities found within System contain the interfaces used to display and control system management preferences. These interfaces are as follows:

  • System Details - Provides an interface to view system-related information including current date and time, disk information, memory summary, and users logged onto the system.

  • IP Networking - Provides the interface to manage IP networking, including configuration of network interfaces, routes, listening servers, mail server and so on.

  • Logs - Provides the interface to view and configure logging.

  • Processes - Provides the interface to view process information including top processes, Watchdog processes, VM (CPU) load threshold, free memory threshold, and memory usage. This interface also allows you to manage the system start and stop commands.

  • Disks - Provides the interface to view disk and memory usage information.

  • Licensing - Provides the interface to view and configure licensing information, MAC Address and Serial Numbers for the system.

  • Users - Provides the interface to view and manage DSC - SP2000 users.

  • Date/Time - Provides the interface to view and manage Network Time Protocol Server (NTP) and DSC - SP2000 date and time information.

  • Backups - Provides the interface to configure automated and manual backups and restore backup files if required. This menu item only appears for root users.

  • File Retrieval - Provides an interface to download files contained in /var/stats/, /var/log/, and /tmp/.

  • Statistics (Data Measurements) - Active statistics files are stored in the /var/stats folder. These files are provided in a CSV file format. To allow a visual representation of a particular statistic from a file, it is possible to choose this statistic and display it in graph format.
     
  • Custom - Allows the creation of a redirect button to access any Web-enabled application.

  • Product Information - Provides information for the DSC - SP2000 Platforms and the CPU cards in the chassis such as product name, serial number for the respective   CPU card, card type, operating system and so on.
