Shutting Down and Connecting an M2PA Link

If you deactivate an M2PA link, MTP3 state attribute is shown in the UI as DEACTIVATED, but SCTP continues to send INIT (initialize) packets.

The Shutdown action shuts down an M2PA link completely, including the SCTP association. Therefore, the M2PA link does not attempt to send INIT packets to the remote system.

The Connect action is the opposite of the shutdown action.

To shut down or connect an M2PA Link

1. From the Main Menu, click MTP3.
   
   
2. Click the required NA.
   
   
3. Click Linksets.
   
   
4. Click the required linkset.
   
   
5. Click the required M2PA link.
   
   
6. Click Shutdown or Connect.
   
   
7. Click Continue.
