In this section:

When you are restoring a backup file, the following processes automatically take place:

  • the DSC Platform software is stopped
  • the specified backup file is restored
  • the DSC Platform software is restarted

You can only select one backup file to restore at any one time (see the following figure). This file can only be restored to the same platform and same software version. No hardware change can take place on the platform during the restore process.

Caution

If you restore a backed up configuration file, the restore process overwrites the existing configuration files. If the backed up configuration files include the system configuration, then all these files are restored. If the backed up configuration files include only the application configuration files, then only these files are restored.

Start
  1. In the DSC-SP2000 Web UI, from the Main Menu, click Backups.
  2. Click Restore Backup.
  3. Click the Restore button beside the backup file that you want to restore.
  4. Click Continue.

You can only restore one backup file at any one time.

  5. If you pressed Continue, you must restart the system for the changes to take effect.

    Tip

To delete a backup file, click delete in the same line that the backup configuration file appears.
