Note

The following section is only applicable to the DSC 8000, the DSC SWe (on MA-RMS), the Signaling Platform 2000 (SP2000), and the virtual SP2000 (on MA-RMS).

The purpose of the Reset action for ATM links is to force realignment of these links.

If you click the Reset action for an ATM link, a reset procedure is scheduled. During this procedure, the link is first taken out of service (in the UI the L2 State shows OUT_OF_SERVICE and the L3 State shows OUT_OF_SERVICE), then it is restarted and the alignment procedure is triggered. When this alignment procedure is completed and the link is functioning as expected, then the link is brought back into service (in the UI, both the L2 and L3 States show IN_SERVICE).

  1. From the Main Menu, click MTP3.

  2. Click the required NA.

  3. Click Linksets.

  4. Click the required linkset.

  5. Click the required ATM link.

  6. Click Reset.

  7. Click Continue.
