Navigating in the Main Menu or submenus is the same for all users. To select a particular menu, click the menu item on the menu listing at the left side of the screen. This is a vertical list. To select submenus or some information related to the menu, click the menu item at the top of the screen. This is a horizontal list.

All standard features of the Web browser that you are using are available while accessing the Main Menu. For example, to navigate to a previous screen, right-click your mouse button and select Back. To navigate to the next screen, right-click your mouse button and select Forward (providing Forward is available).

Note

For information about using your Web browser, refer to the online help for your Web browser.

Logout
in the upper-right corner of the screen logs you out of the Web UI.

To establish your current location in the DSC - SP2000 Web UI hierarchy, look at the listing above the main headings in the screen (see the following figure).

Note

This listing is also referred to as “breadcrumbs” in graphical user interface terminology.

The listing provides quick access to a higher level in this hierarchy than the level that you are viewing.

The arrow beside an object helps you to identify the proxy object that raised an alarm by linking you to the configuration screen of this proxy object. In the following examples, clicking the arrow beside the Event Context attribute (see the following figure), links you to the M3UA Configured ASP (1) proxy object (Figure Proxy Object that Raised Alarm).
