The NP Gateway is designed as a Level 4 (L4) application interfacing with the DSC MTP3 DREs on each Routing CPU. The Gateway Redirection (GWR) feature and necessary SS7 and/or IP link licensing will be required to enable traffic. The following figure is a high-level traffic diagram between the DSC associated applications and the PSX.
