Note

The following section is only applicable to the DSC Platform.

The Loadshare Mode can be configured in the Web UI at the NA level. Configuring Loadshare Mode at the Routeset level allows you to provision this functionality for a system on a per destination bases.

The Loadshare Mode attribute has been added in the Routeset Configuration screen. This attribute is used for performing load share algorithms in all linksets that exist within the given routeset. This attribute can be set to the following values:

  • NODE_VALUE -  the load sharing algorithm is to be based upon the Loadshare Mode value as configured at the Network Appearance (NA)

  • Signaling Link Selection (SLS) -  loadsharing algorithm is used based on the SLS in the incoming MSU

  • SCCP0 - SCCP messages that do not require sequencing are load shared evenly between links without regard to the incoming SLS and the outgoing SLS is modified

  • ENHANCED SLS - a new SLS value is generated based on incoming MSU information such as OPC, DPC and link SLC

  • ENHANCED SLS and SCCP0 - the option processes Protocol Class 0 messages first and use the same functionality at SCCP0; in addition the remaining messages are processed using the same functionality as the ENHANCED SLS option. This setting applies to SI > 2 messages only.

The default value for the attribute is NODE VALUE. If, however, the attribute contains a value other than the default value, the routeset value over rides the value set at the NA.

Note

Load sharing using the SLS is according to ANSIT1.111.5.

For the ENHANCED SLS and ENHANCED SLS and SCCP0 attribute values, load share modes are only applicable to ITU NAs.
