The DSC Platform alarm dashboard provides an indication of the system status by showing the number of critical, major, and minor alarms in the Web UI. Using this UI, the operator may:
- view the number of active alarms
- view the list of historical alarms
- acknowledge the alarms
- clear the alarms manually
The alarm dashboard is always visible at the top of the Web UI and displays critical, major, minor, and warning alarms as they occur on the Ribbon DSC. A list of manually cleared alarms and a list of all alarms occurring on the system are also displayed.
The Ribbon DSC assigns incoming and outgoing queues to each Diameter ADN that is connected. The system may be configured to produce alarms at definable levels and perform processing based on priorities assigned to specific message types. This can be configured both at the nodal level and individually for each ADN. For more information about alarms, see the DSC Alarms Guide.
