The following figure shows the Alarm Dashboard Web user interface (UI). The Alarm Dashboard is always visible at the top of the Web UI and displays critical, major, minor, and warning alarms as they occur on the DSC - SP2000 Platforms. Manually cleared alarms and a comprehensive list of all alarms are also displayed.

Note

The Alarm Dashboard may display the alarms in an on/off (blinking) state. When the alarm is in the off state, the words Critical, Major, and so on do not appear in the Alarm Dashboard, but only the number indicating the sum of these alarms. Therefore, if the capture of the screen is obtained when an alarm is in the off state (see the following figure), consider the first number as Critical, the second as Major, the third as Minor, the fourth as Warning, the fifth as Clear, and the sixth as Total number of alarms.

The Alarm Dashboard has an Alarm Count, which is incremented for every new alarm reported on the Alarm Dashboard and is decremented for every alarm cleared on the Alarm Dashboard.

Note

All alarms associated with an application are removed from the Alarm Dashboard and the alarm count if the application fails or switches over to a standby peer application. The peer has knowledge of the current issues after switchover.
