Recommended Action

If this alarm is raised, follow these steps.

  1. Log in to the Web UI as root.

  2. Locate the Alarm.   
    1. Click on the major alarm count in the Alarm Dashboard.

    2. Click on this alarm number.

    3. Click on the date of the occurrence.

    4. Click Associated UI Object.

  3. Make note of the IP addresses of the CPU and the remote IP addresses of the SCTP association.

  4. From the System Main Menu, click IP Networking.

  5. Click IP Utilities.

  6. Ping each remote IP form the affected CPU.
    1. Select the slot to ping from in the Ping from drop-down list.

    2. Enter the host to ping in the Host text box.

    3. Enter the number of pings in the Count text box.

    4. Click Ping.

  7. Diagnose the network issues for unavailable path.
