The Accounting and Screening table records may be configured to use wild cards and ranges to facilitate provisioning of accounting and screening data. Wild cards and ranges are used for
- Point Code
- Message Type
- subsystem number (SSN)
- Translation Type (TT)
- Service Indicator (SI)
- Priority Bits (PRI)
- H1H0
- TCAP Operation Code
The range delimiter is set to “&&”. An SSN range could be set to “3&&5” which includes SSN values 3, 4, and 5 inclusively.
The wild card delimiter “*” is a full-range wild card such that for SSN, replaces range 0&&255.
The Point Codes are value ranges separated with “.”. The point code range “1.3&&5.*” impacts all Point Codes with network component 1, cluster component between 3 and 5 inclusive, with any member component (corresponding zone, cluster, member for ITU).
In addition to the preceding wild cards and ranges, for the Incoming Linkset screening table the following also applies:
- default record * for Japan FF-FF and ITU Decimal (others *.*.*)
- when performing a PC search on an Incoming LS, wildcard search (for example, 1.2.*) is supported
