In this section:

The CIC UA consists of an exchange of messages between the IP interface that resides on the SG and a user application as defined by a third party software developer called an Application Server Process (ASP). Messages are exchanged over TCP/IP. The CIC UA TCP server is configured using the CIC UA TCP Server Configuration screen (see To configure the CIC UA TCP Server).

The TCP server attributes can be changed if required; however, it is recommended that the default values be retained.

Note

The CIC UA server listens on all IPv4 and IPv6 addresses on the default port 2906.

When the TCP server is configured, it must be activated. This action allows the SG to accept ASP connections on all Routing CPUs or VMs. Deactivating the CIC UA TCP server disables the CIC UA interface.
