Before you can configure the SUA IP protocol on the SG, you must configure one or more TCP connections between the SG and the corresponding SCCP NAs.

When the SG SCCP NA is first created, it is INACTIVE, and does not communicate with the corresponding SCCP NA (see To create an SG SCCP NA). As soon as the SG SCCP NA is set to active, the Local Point Code and the SS7 Variant attributes of the SG SCCP NA are updated and the NA Status attribute appears as ACTIVE. SCCP NA traffic can now be transmitted to the SG.
