The following procedures outline how to configure the Internet Explorer browser on your system.

Configuring Proxy Settings

The following procedure requires an internet connection to configure the IE browser.

To configure proxy settings

  1. Select Tools > Internet Options.

  2. Select the Connections Tab.

  3. Click the LAN Settings button.

    A Local Area Network (LAN) Settings dialog window is displayed.

  4. Select the “Use a Proxy Server” option.

  5. Click Advanced.

    A Proxy Settings dialog window is displayed.

    Contact your system administrator for assistance in configuring the proxy settings for your network environment.

         

  6. Add the SDA System Manager host name or IP address in the Exceptions text field “Do not use proxy server for addresses beginning with:”.

  7. Click OK in both dialog windows.

Configuring the Browser Cache

The following procedure outlines how to configure the browser cache.

To configure the browser cache

  1. Select Tools > Internet Options.

  2. Select the General tab.

  3. Click the Settings button.

    A Temporary Internet Files and History Settings dialog window is displayed
     
  4.  Select the 'Every time I visit the webpage' option.

  5. Click OK in all the dialog window.

Clearing the Browser Cache

The following procedure outlines how to clear the browser cache.

To clear the browser cache

  1. Select Tools > Internet Options.

  2. Select the General tab.

  3. From the Browsing history panel, click Delete.

    The Delete Browsing History dialog window is displayed.

  4. From the Temporary Internet Files panel, click Delete files.

    The Delete Files dialog box is displayed.
     
  5. Click Yes.

     

  6. Click Close in Delete Browsing History window.

     

  7. Click OK in Internet Options.

    Repeat the steps above and restart your PC if the browser cache is not cleared.
