This section provides the safety and regulatory information for SBC 5000 series platforms.
For the purpose of regulatory compliance certifications and identification, the SBC 5000 series are assigned the following model numbers:
The compliance model number is available on the product label along with the required approval markings and information. Refer to the model number while requesting for certification information for the product.
Read and observe all Notes, Cautions, and Warnings before beginning the SBC 5000 system hardware installation.
1) Connect the chassis to protective earth ground before connecting the power to the unit.
2) Disconnect all the input power sources to disconnect power from the unit.
The following Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) symbols are used throughout the documentation. ESD Protective symbol identifies ESD protection devices, such as wrist straps, anti-static bags, etc. ESD Susceptibility symbol warns of the presence of Ribbon devices susceptible to electrostatic discharge. Do not handle equipment without wearing a properly grounded ESD wrist strap.

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference, in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.
