Use the SIP Trunk Group window to create and work with SIP trunk groups. SIP trunk groups are used to apply a wide-ranging set of call management functions to a group of peer devices (endpoints) within the network. SIP trunk groups are created within a specific address context and zone. Ribbon recommends using the Transparency Profile to configure transparency on the SBC Core Core for new deployments, as well as applying additional transparency configurations to existing deployments. Do not use IP Signaling Profile flags in these scenarios because the flags will be retired in upcoming releases. Refer to the SBC SIP Transparency Implementation Guide for additional information. On the SBC main screen, navigate to SIP Trunk Group using any one of the following paths: The SIP Trunk Group window displays. Use the drop-down boxes at the top of the window to filter the list of trunk groups for a particular Address Context and Zone. To create a new SIP trunk group: At the top of the SIP Trunk Group window, select the Address Context and Zone to which you want to add the trunk group and click New SIP Trunk Group. The Create New SIP Trunk Group window opens. The top portion of this window (below) contains general SIP trunk group parameters, followed by many additional expandable/collapsible categories of parameters. Using the following table, enter values for the new SIP trunk group's general parameters. Enter values for additional SIP trunk group parameters within other parameter categories, as necessary. The SIP trunk group parameters are described, per category, on the following pages: Click Save to complete creating the SIP trunk group. In addition to appearing on the initial Create New SIP Trunk Group window, the categories of SIP trunk group parameters that follow the general parameters can be configured using a hierarchical set of parameter windows you can access below the SIP Trunk Group option in the EMA navigation hierarchy. You can use these windows to edit the configuration of a SIP trunk group after it is initially created. To edit an existing SIP trunk group: Make changes to the general parameters as needed and click Save. To copy an existing SIP trunk group: Click the radio button next to the SIP trunk group name. Click Copy SIP Trunk Group. The Copy Selected SIP Trunk Group window opens showing fields which can be edited. To delete an existing SIP trunk group: Click the radio button next to the name of the SIP trunk group you want to delete. Click the Delete icon (X) at the end of the row. Confirm the deletion when prompted. To View SIP Trunk Groups
