The SBC Core can be deployed as an Enterprise SBC along with the Microsoft Lync Server to connect a Service Provider SIP Trunking network to PSTN.
Microsoft Lync Server 2013 offers instant messaging (IM), presence, conferencing, and telephony solutions to support enterprise-level collaboration requirements thus enabling enterprises to extend their IP telephony infrastructure outside their network borders and connect to the Service Provider networks through SIP Trunking.
The SBC enables enterprises to control the critical IP Trunking border between enterprises and SP networks.
