This profile specifies whether to allocate DSP resources, when available, for T.38  Error Correction Mode (ECM) calls.

To View and Edit ECM

On SBC main screen, go to Configuration > Profile Management > Category: Media Profiles > Packet Service Profile > T38 > ECM.

Select the desired Packet Service Profile from the drop-down list to view its respective ECM parameters.

The ECM window is displayed.

Parameter Description
ECM Preferred

The SBC 5000 series allocates an Error Correction Mode (ECM)-capable DSP resource for the leg of the call to which this PSP is assigned. When cleared, SBC 5000 series uses normal resource allocation.

  • enabled—allocate an ECM-capable DSP resource for the call.
  • disabled (default)—use normal resource allocation.

Make the required changes and click Save at the right hand bottom of the panel to save the changes made.
