In this section:

The IP Policing Alarm Profile specifies the parameters to determine when alarms associated with IP policing are generated and cleared.

To View Ip Policing Alarm Profile

On SBC main screen, go to Configuration > Profile Management > Category: System Profiles > Ip Policing Alarm Profile.

The Ip Policing Alarm Profile window is displayed.

To Edit Ip Policing Alarm Profile

To edit any of the Ip Policing Alarm Profile in the list, click the radio button next to the specific Ip Policing Alarm Profile name.

The Edit Selected Ip Policing Alarm Profile window is displayed below.

Make the required changes and click Save at the right hand bottom of the panel to save the changes made.

To Create Ip Policing Alarm Profile

To create a new Ip Policing Alarm Profile, click New Ip Policing Alarm Profile tab on the Ip Policing Alarm Profile List panel.

Specify the name of the IP Policing Alarm.

Administrative state of IP Policing alarm.

Bad Ethernet IP Header Set Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the bad ethernet IP header policer discard rate which may set an alarm. The default value is 100.

Bad Ethernet IP Header Clear Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the bad Ethernet IP header policer discard rate which may clear an alarm. The default value is 20.

Bad Ethernet IP Header Set Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the bad ethernet IP header policer discard rate must be at or above its set threshold before an alarm is set. The default value is 3.

Bad Ethernet  IP Header Clear Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the bad Ethernet IP header policer discard rate must be at or below its clear threshold before an alarm is cleared. The default value is 3.

Arp Set Threshold

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the bad Ethernet IP header policer discard rate must be at or below its clear threshold before an alarm is cleared. The default value is 100.

Arp Clear Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the ARP policer discard rate which may clear an alarm. The default value is 20.

Arp Set Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the ARP policer discard rate must be at or above its set threshold before an alarm is set. The default value is 3.

Arp Clear Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the ARP policer discard rate must be at or below its clear threshold before an alarm is cleared. The default value is 3.

U Flow Set Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the micro flow policer discard rate which may set an alarm. The default value is 100.

U Flow Clear Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the micro flow policer discard rate which may clear an alarm. The default value is 20.

U Flow Set  Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the micro flow policer discard rate must be at or above its set threshold before an alarm is set. The default value is 3.

U Flow Clear  Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the micro flow policer discard rate must be at or below its clear threshold before an alarm is cleared. The default value is 3.

Acl Set Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the access control list policer discard rate which may set an alarm. The default value is 100.

Acl Clear Threshold

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the access control list policer discard rate must be at or below its clear threshold before an alarm is cleared. The default value is 3.

Acl Set Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the access control list policer discard rate must be at or above its set threshold before an alarm is set. A value of 0 sets the alarm immediately.

Acl Clear Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the access control list policer discard rate must be at or below its clear threshold before an alarm is cleared. A value of 0 clears the alarm immediately.

Aggregarte Set Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the aggregate policer discard rate which may set an alarm. The default value is 100.

Aggregarte Clear Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the aggregate policer discard rate which may clear an alarm. The default value is 20.

Aggregate Set Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the aggregate policer discard rate must be at or above its set threshold before an alarm is set. The default value is 3.

Aggregate Clear Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the aggregate policer discard rate must be at or below its clear threshold before an alarm is cleared. A value of 0 clears the alarm immediately.

IP Sec Decrypt  Set Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the IPSEC decrypt policer discard rate which may set an alarm. The default value is 100.

IP Sec Decrypt Clear Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the IPSEC decrypt policer discard rate which may clear an alarm. The default value is 20.

IP Sec Decrypt  Set Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the IPSEC decrypt policer discard rate must be at or above its set threshold before an alarm is set. The default value is 3.

IP Sec Decrypt Clear Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the IPSEC decrypt policer discard rate must be at or below its clear threshold before an alarm is cleared. The default value is 3.

Media Set Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the media policer discard rate which may set an alarm. The default value is 100.

Media Clear Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the media policer discard rate which may clear an alarm. The default value is 20.

Media Set  Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the media policer discard rate must be at or above its set threshold before an alarm is set. The default value is 3.

Media Clear Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the media policer discard rate must be at or below its clear threshold before an alarm is cleared. The default value is 3.

Rogue Media Set Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the rogue media policer discard rate which may set an alarm. The default value is 100.

Rogue Media Clear Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the rogue media policer discard rate which may clear an alarm. The default value is 20.

Rogue Media Set Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the rogue media policer discard rate must be at or above its set threshold before an alarm is set. The default value is 3.

Rogue Media Clear Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the rogue media policer discard rate must be at or below its clear threshold before an alarm is cleared. The default value is 3.

Discard Rule Set Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the discard rule discard rate which may set an alarm. The default value is 20.

Discard Rule Clear Threshold

Specifies the threshold for the discard rule discard rate which may clear an alarm. The default value is 10.

Discard Rule Set Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the discard rule discard rate must be at or above its set threshold before an alarm is set. A value of 0 sets the alarm immediately.

Discard Rule Clear Duration

Specifies the duration (in seconds) that the discard rule discard rate must be at or below its clear threshold before an alarm is cleared. A value of 0 clears the alarm immediately.

To Copy Ip Policing Alarm Profile

To copy any of the created Ip Policing Alarm Profile and to make any minor changes, click the radio button next to the specific Ip Policing Alarm Profile to highlight the row.

Click Copy Ip Policing Alarm Profile tab on the Ip Policing Alarm Profile List panel.

The Copy Selected Ip Policing Alarm Profile window is displayed along with the field details which can be edited.

Make the required changes to the required fields and click Save to save the changes. The copied Ip Policing Alarm Profile is displayed at the bottom of the original Ip Policing Alarm Profile in the Ip Policing Alarm Profile List panel.

To Delete Ip Policing Alarm Profile

To delete any of the created Ip Policing Alarm Profile, click the radio button next to the specific Ip Policing Alarm Profile which you want to delete.

Click Delete at the end of the highlighted row. A delete confirmation message appears seeking your decision.

Click OK to remove the specific Ip Policing Alarm Profile from the list.
