Joining the ASM to a domain may impact the availability of services on the ASM such as Remote Desktop (1,2,3) by denying access to these services through security policies. Before joining the ASM server to a domain, you should review your Domain's default security policy and Group policies to verify that required services and access are allowed. You may need to create exceptions for the ASM host to allow the use of services such as Remote Desktop.

SHA2-256 CA Certificates may be used for the SBA, SBC, and Lync 2013 Servers. However, the certificates on ALL devices must be SHA2-256. Lync 2010 requires that all devices employ either ALL SHA1 or ALL SHA2 Certificates.
Therefore, if any device (SBC, SBA, or Lync Server) is upgraded to SHA2-256, then all other devices must be upgraded as well.
For more information see the Microsoft SHA1 Deprecation Policy for more information.
